Team Shirt Sticker Labels for Opening Days

Shirt Stickers Labels are used to clearly outline who gets shirts and what sizes they are on opening days (or Week 2 starts). Here are the best practices for ordering, printing, and implementing these stickers:

Ordering

When reordering shirt sticker labels, make sure to order well in advance of running out of stickers. Standard shipping takes approximately 8 to 12 days, but be sure to play it safe and reorder at least two weeks before you would run out.

  1. Go to thepapermillstore.com
  2.  In the search field at the top, ender SKU# 3-FC4304-P to find the exact product:

This is a pack of 100 pages of sticker paper, with four 4 x 5 labels on each page (for a total of 400 labels per box). The color Chartreuse is a good choice because the high contrast between the black text and the Chartreuse color makes the text highly visible. However, feel free to order any high contrast color of label.

  1. The standard order is 3-4 months’ worth of stickers. When ordering at least 4 boxes, shipping is free because your order is at least $200.
  2. Order the bags! An easy way to pack your shirts is to order clear plastic bags to put them in and to stick the stickers to.
    1. Go to the following URL: http://www.bagsandbowsonline.com/shopdeluxe/clear-frosted-economy-shoppers-16-x-15-+-6-bg/H16CL/product?parentCatId=&locid=BB%3ASR_A3_H16CL&fromPage=fhPage&id=
    2. Order 2-3 cases, at 250 bags per case.

Printing

Once you’ve received the stickers in the mail, it’s time to get them printed. The first thing you have to do is decide what you’ll be printing on these stickers:

  1.  From the admin panel on your League Lab site, go to Leagues & Tournaments -> Forecast, and look for any leagues pegged as “First Date”. Click on its Paperwork link.
  2.  From the paperwork panel, check the check boxes for “Shirt Packing Lists” and “Show Shirt Orders by Player”, then click “Get Paperwork”.
  3. Navigate to the Print Preview screen for the paperwork page (exactly how to get here varies depending on your browser, but the vast majority of the time, simply clicking “Print” from your browser will get you here.
    1. Switch printing layout to Landscape.
    2. If your Print Preview has the capacity, change the zoom to as high as you can while still keeping all teams on one page/sticker (usually somewhere around 125% for an average-sized team).
    3. In Advanced Settings, make sure you set the number of pages to print per sheet to FOUR. This is ESSENTIAL, as this setting matches 4 pages of the preview to one sheet of paper, making each team’s paperwork fit the size of each sticker.
      1.  The manner in which you change these setting varies depending on your browser/printing method. From Google Chrome’s Print Preview page, you have to click on the “Print using system dialog…” link. From within that window, click “Preferences” and set the Pages per Sheet to 4.

  1. Load the sticker paper into your printer and start the print job. If you have an industrial printer, be sure to load the paper into your auxiliary tray.

Packing

Once you’ve printed your stickers, consult your schedule page and write the time and field that each of the teams will be playing on. This helps minimize confusion for any field administrators working that shift.

As you’re packing the shirts, check off the Received box with a pen next to the individual’s shirt you just packed to make sure you’ve got exactly the right sizes and quantity for that team. Once your bag is packed, peel off the sticker and stick it to the bag. The final product looks something like this:
