Depending on the settings chosen for team and indy registrations in a league, players will receive a status update of Confirmed or Not Offered. It is important to know the difference between these two in order to choose the best option for your league and minimize confusion for players.
When a new team or Individual signs up online and their status is set to Not Offered, the new team or Individual is not automatically given a spot in the league/event upon sign-up. They are in a "holding bin" and need to be "offered" a spot by an admin. This setting works well for leagues that have special policies about returning teams/Indys or that expect to fill up and need to be able to sort teams before giving out spots.
When a new team or Individual signs up online and their Status is set to Confirmed they are "in" the league or event right away. This setting works well for organizations that do not need to manage a limited amount of spots, and do not want to take the extra step of "confirming" teams.
